托福独立写作可谓是托福考试中的一道拦路虎,在这里为大家整理一片托福独立写作的满分范文,供同学们参考。

Does technology make children less creative than in the past?

Are our kids becoming lazier and less creative, less imaginable than before as a consequence of highly advanced technology? My answer is no, and just the opposite, technology has apparently assisted our kids to become more creative.

First and foremost, technology has provided children with easy access to scientific and liberal art resources which is their best source of inspiration. For example, children could now easily gain access to academic databases through iPad screen, read classical works on Kindle, or watch historic documents on Internet. These great works are essentially helpful to arousing their curiosity and prepares them with key knowledge necessary for any creation. However, these wonderful equipments and facilities are never as handy in the past, when kids could only reach limited resources in public libraries or schools. In this sense, technology has provided the possibility for children to be more creative.

Second, technology has equipped children with professional apparatus which could finally realize their imagination. This takes form particularly as computer softwares and applications, such as Photoshop for creative graphic design, Overture for easily composing a piece of music, 3DMax for building up a virtual world, etc.. All the software were never as handy as they are at present, and this would absolutely provides our children an effective tool for realizing their creativity.

Third, technology itself is a market place where creative ideas are economically encouraged. Steve Jobs earned millions of dollars a year for his unparallel creation, and Mark Zuckberg gained his reputation for the genius social network. Therefore, technology has provided children the internal motive to develop their creativity. However, it is undeniable that technology might make children become lazier and be comfortable with what is already available because everything are so convenient nowadays and there seems to be no way to improve them. Children lost in pc games or blindly pursuing every single piece of tech apparatus is a relevant example. Thus, it is always necessary to keep children’s mind active in the marvelous world of technology.

In a nutshell, I still regard children as becoming increasingly creative in technology development, although it might bring minor side effect. As along as we keep a balanced mood on children enjoying the fruit of technology, they are sure to contribute more to innovation than in the past.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? In the modern world, we should never be impolite to another person.

In the modern world, there are more and more complicated factors that we have to care for if we want to be successful. So sometimes we have the problem that whether we should ever be impolite to another person. In consideration of all aspects, we should never be impolite to another person because we will not be successful in our career, harm other people’s emotion, and develop a bad personality.

First of all, we will be more successful if we are always polite to anyone. For example, recently there is a survey on the relation between success and good manners. Surprisingly, the survey says that ninety percent of successful people are always polite to anybody. Peoples around the world all share this principle. People that are impolite to others will certainly leave a bad impression. Then maybe the person will tell the supervisor about this.Impoliteness will make our supervisors think that we are not so qualified. Thus we will be less likely to have a promotion or get a raise. On the road to success lays the boundary of impoliteness. In other words, it is very important to note that good manners are essential to success.

In addition, we may harm other people’s emotion if we are not polite to them. Simply yelling at others will make others think that we do not like them, or they did something wrong that irritated us, but actually, they did nothing wrong. This can be very bothering to people. To be respected by others, we have to respect others first. Politeness is the basic form of respect. After we harm other’s feelings, they may also be hard on us, too. Recently lots of cases happen that after a couple argued terribly, the woman simply leave and break up. This is not the desirable outcome. Harming others’ feelings does no good to us. Some psychologists recently did a research that the people who are in a low mood are more likely to think of other sad things that can make them even sadder, after which they are more likely to commit bad behaviors. In other words, not only will impoliteness hurt others’ feelings, but also make others behave badly.

Furthermore, being polite can help us get a good personality, which will help us get more friends. Good manners will make us be more patient, and also more punctual because we do not want others to wait for us. These kind of good values will turn us into the kind of people that others like to make friends with. We will be popular by being polite to others. Those popular students must be very polite to anyone, because others will think of him as a comfortable person to deal with. Also a lot of celebrities sometime can be very impolite to others, which will make them be criticized by the fans who once loved them. In conclusion, it is obvious that being polite can make us have a better personality.

Consequently, due to the arguments mentioned above, we can safely reach the conclusion that being polite to everyone is especially important in the modern world. We must have good manners to be successful in career, not to harm others, and to have a good personality.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: It is more important for a teacher to help students gain self-confidence than to teach them specific knowledge.

Teacher has been a profession for ages since the existence of human being. As early as Greek time, we have

prominent teachers as Aristotle and Plato, while in ancient China, teachers such as Confucius and Mencius. It is teacher that is playing an unceasingly positive impact on the evolution and development of human society. They not only

instruct us specific knowledge, which eich(原文来自:wWW.DxF5.com 东 星资源网:托福独立写作满分)es our minds and broadens our horizon, but also teach us philosophy of life, leading us to self-confidence, self-worth and self-realization. Then one problem emerges as we delve into the function of teacher: which is a more important task of teachers, helping students gain self-confidence or teaching them specific knowledge. From my perspective, teacher does both, and there is no absolute judgment of which one is more important. Only those that can do both well are eligible for qualified teachers.

It is undeniable that teachers' top priority is to impart knowledge to students. That is, as a matter of fact, how we define teachers: the person who imparts certain knowledge to others. Take history teacher as an example. Some history teachers are able to make their classes as lively as possible by illustrating their points through interesting

historic events and stories. Through this way, they not only attain the purpose of knowledge impartment but also make students love their classes, in turn, love history. On the contrary, other history teachers are simply teaching knowledge for its own sake, without further elaboration of classes. We rarely call this kind of teachers "good teacher". Therefore, due to the nature of teachers, it is undeniably significant for teachers to impart knowledge to students.

On the other hand, equally important is teachers' awareness and ability to help students gain self-confidence. This, to a certain extent, is the broad definition of teacher. With the increasing pace and complexity of modern society, the twentieth-first century is calling for multiple talents, talents who are not only physically and academically capable, but also psychologically capable. Outstanding students with weak psychological state or lack of confidence are surely not the employers wanted. Therefore, people have attained a common consensus as time passes by that students'

mentality is of equal importance with the academic knowledge they acquire. Therefore, it is this background that calls for teachers to gain the ability to help students gain self-confidence. Only when students are confident enough about themselves can they have the healthy mentality to perform tasks.

Therefore, it is reasonable to maintain that for a teacher, in the present society, helping students to gain self-

confidence and teaching them specific knowledge are of equal importance. It is highly possible that as time elapses, teachers will take on more roles besides the two. However, at present, these two core functions of teachers should be attached of high priority if one wants to become a teacher or if one is judging a teacher. Absence of either one can

legitimately take off the crown of the seemingly "good teacher".
