If I were the ant , I would not exhaust all my time and energy in dull and laborious work . I would averagely arrange my time between leisure and busyness . Since life is a process , not the result . On the road of life , it is the happiness that we try our best to pursue . The lifestyle of devoting ourselves wholly to work might make us miss a lot of beautiful scenery in the journey of happiness . Just like the ant , it spends a hardworking summer gathering its winter store . And it loses the chance to enjoy the sunshine of summer . Now thatlife of a person is limited , we should cherish the precious time and enjoy life . Our elder generation are as busy as the ant and take every effort to earn money . They are hardworking . decent , respectable and straightforward . After a life of industry and thrift they could look forward to retiring safely . But sometimes in the pursuit of security and peace , they may be scared to admit to themselves what they really want to do , and who they really want to be . It is a big regret that they lose the wonder and freedom of life . Nowadays , with the rapiddevelopmentofcommercial society , the life rhythm of people is faster and faster . We youth also throw ourselves into mundane lives as same as our father generation . As the increasingly keen social competition , too toilsome labor will reduce much spice to our daily life . And then this may lead to decrease the happiness that we ultimately seek for .
Nevertheless , I do not want to become the grasshopper. The fable ends up with the death ofgrasshopper for lack of food . It comfortably sits on a blade of grass singing to the sun in thesummer time so that it only has an empty larder when winter comes . The grasshopper is actually rather typical for the elderly-devouring community emerged in recent years . They tend to have no aims , no plans , no ambition and just drift along . Their basic necessities of life mainly rely on the support of parents or friends . Obviously , this worthless and contemptible lifestyle is doomed to be punished in an imperfect world .As far as I am concerned , I will seek for a balance between work and leisure . I neither want to be the ant----missing the warm sunshine of summer , nor to be the grasshopper----died ofstarvation. The moderate way may be the most reasonable and correct solution.

幸福的生活是以勤奋为前提的。我像蚂蚁一样勤奋，在我十五年的上学经历和三年的工作经历中。工作三年后，我想在自己的专业，进行深造。于是，我从早到晚在自习室学习了一年。我相信“一份耕耘一份收获”的道理。最终，我考上了研究生。
现在，我需要多吃点苦，掌握一门技能。以后，我才能找到一份好工作，挣更高的工资。将来，我才能为我们的孩子，提供好的生活。最后，当我退休时，我才有资本安度晚年。
我相信“少壮不努力，老大徒伤悲”。我们每天有同样的机会去为自己的明天打基础，我们的明天的幸福是和今天的努力成正比的.所以我们要养成吃苦耐劳，勤奋钻研的精神，以后才能过上幸福的生活。

Diligence and enjoyment
After reading "The Ant and the Grasshopper ", I feel extremely deep. I begin to reflect on my outlook on life. Previously, I always study exceedingly hard. But, now, I think the happy life is diligence and enjoyment.
The premise of happy life is diligence. I am hardworking like ant, during my fifteen years school experience and three years work experience. After three years work, I intend to pursue advanced studies in my specialty. Thereupon, I study from morning to night one year in the study area. I believe in the truth of "a hard one harvest " In the end, I admitted to graduate.
Now, I need to master a skill. Afterwards, I may find better work, and earn higher wage. In the future, I can provide good life for my child. I believe in the truth that "a young idler, an old beggar. " Every day we have the same opportunity to ground for tomorrow. Our tomorrow's happiness is directly proportional to the efforts of today. So we should develop the spirit of hardships and hard study, to live a happy life in the future.
Happiness of life should know how to enjoy. In this respect, I need to learn the grasshopper. Previously, I always think that playing is a waste of time. Now, I want to change the idea. (一)蚂蚁虽小，但力大无比。一只小小的蚂蚁能把一颗米粒拖进蚁穴，如按体重比例计算，蚂蚁的力气相当于大象的60倍。
(二)蚂蚁为何有如此惊人的大力气?昆虫学家经过研究认为，这与肌肉的构造有直接的关系，肌肉产生力气与肌肉的粗细成正比，而与肌肉的长度无关。一只非洲大象的体重要比一只蚂蚁重一百多亿倍，而它的肌肉只比蚂蚁粗几百万倍，所以按体重比例计算，蚂蚁的力气当然要比大象大得多。
(三)蚂蚁不仅是大力士，而且还是赫赫有名的“外科医生”和杰出的 “药剂师” 。在南美洲圭亚那的印第安人部落里，当地的大夫做外科手术时，常用一种割叶蚁来进行伤口缝合。大夫先将病人的伤口对合，让割叶蚁咬住缝合口，再剪下蚁身，留下的蚁头就成了最好的羊肠线。它把伤口缝合得紧密无缝，伤口愈合后还不必拆线，可减少病人的痛苦。
(四)生物学家在对蚁穴的调查中发现，有一种红蚁能把采集到的肥马车、鸢尾花、紫罗兰、报春花的种子混合在一起，“配制”出一种奇效药品。经过尝试，能使人的舌尖麻木二三小时，就像是打麻药针似的。
