  Abstract. Since 1998 when the Ministry of Education officially listed the biotechnology specialty to the specialty catalog, there have been more than 200 colleges and universities in our country that established biotechnology specialty. However undergraduate students majoring in biotechnology specialty face server challenges after graduation. This phenomenon is resulted from the limitations of the specialty and lack of education forms. In this case, university students are lack of accurate evaluations and recognition on their self-qualities and the social requirements. In this paper, the undergraduate students majoring in biotechnology specialty are researched. They are from eight colleges and universities in Hebei Province and questionnaire research is done on their qualities. The paper has specifically analyzed the current situation of the quality of undergraduate students majoring in biotechnology specialty, and the implementation situation of education and quality education activities. It discusses the existing problems and the reasons and puts forward countermeasures to strengthen the quality education of students. It aims to improve the quality level of the undergraduate students majoring in biotechnology specialty and expand employment ways so as to promote employment of the undergraduate students majoring in biotechnology specialty.

  Biotechnology is the use of biology to solve problems and make useful products. The growth of the field is linked to the development of genetic engineering. Biotechnology merges biological information with computer technology to advance research in other areas, including nanotechnology and regenerative medicine. Today there are numerous commercial biotechnology firms that manufacture genetically engineered substances for a variety of mostly medical, agricultural, and ecological uses. Every year there are over ten thousand graduates on biotechnology specialty. However undergraduate students majoring in biotechnology specialty face server challenges after graduation. This phenomenon is resulted from the limitations of the specialty and lack of education forms. In this case, university students are lack of accurate evaluations and recognition on their self-qualities and the social requirements. Having decided to improve the quality of education the next step is to gather available resources and sift through them, with the help of appropriate teaching personnel. These resources should be organized in a fashion that enables any course requirements to be met with confidence. Unfortunately, many educational institutions rely on methods that prove too stressful for some students, revealing that the quality of education in these systems has not been improved to allow for individuals who need protection from overwhelming pressure to succeed. There are many successful people who are self-educated, having a quality of education achieved without sacrificing themselves to educational idols or becoming obsessive about reaching great academic heights. In this paper, the undergraduate students majoring in biotechnology specialty are researched. They are from eight colleges and universities in Hebei Province and questionnaire research is done on their qualities. The paper has specifically analyzed the current situation of the quality of undergraduate students majoring in biotechnology specialty, and the implementation situation of education and quality education activities. 1530 undergraduate students majoring in biotechnology specialty have been taken as the research objects and investigation and analysis is made on the current situation of quality education.
  
  1. Object and Method
  1.1. Investigation objects
  In this paper, the undergraduate students majoring in biotechnology specialty are researched. They are from eight colleges and universities in Hebei Province and questionnaire research is done on their qualities. 1530 undergraduate students majoring in biotechnology specialty have been taken as the research objects. It has representativeness.
  1.2. Content and method
  A questionnaire is a research instrument consisting of a series of questions and other prompts for the purpose of gathering information from respondents. Although they are often designed for statistical analysis of the responses, this is not always the case. Questionnaires have advantages over some other types of surveys in that they are cheap, do not require as much effort from the questioner as verbal or telephone surveys, and often have standardized answers that make it simple to compile data. However, such standardized answers may frustrate users. Questionnaires are also sharply limited by the fact that respondents must be able to read the questions and respond to them. Thus, for some demographic groups conducting a survey by questionnaire may not be practical. As a type of survey, questionnaires also have many of the same problems relating to question construction and wording that exist in other types of opinion polls. 1530 questionnaires are given and 1499 have been returned, with the returning rate of 98%.
  After arranging the original data of the investigation, excel table is used to make statistic analysis.
  
  2. Result and Analysis
  2.1. Students’ quality affect their personal development
  The investigation results have shown that the self-learning ability, self-control ability, language expression ability, literate writing ability, social communication ability, experimental operation ability, psychological quality, and innovation ability is general, with the percentage of 50%. There are 15% that have quite strong abilities and relatively high abilities on psychological frustration ability, collection and human quality situation. It is shown in Table 1.

  2.2. Teachers’ teaching qualities affect students’ scientific and cultural qualities
  87.15% of the professional teachers seldom talk about manners or human quality in class; 51.82% of the professional teachers seldom talk about professional development in class; 50.74% of the professional teachers occasionally or seldom talk about professional development of students in class; 73.56% of the students have no idea about the prospect. It can be seen in Table 2, which is shown as the followings:
  
  2.3. The implementation of quality education activities affects the cultivation of students’ quality and competency
  The implementation of quality education activities affects the cultivation of students’ quality and competency. 52.55% of the scientific innovation activities are carried out while the other activities do not have an optimistic situation. It can be seen in Table 3.
  
  3. Discussions
  3.1. Strengthen ideological and political education, dig student’s potential and promote individual development
  Currently, the ideological and political education by infiltration is a very effective way. It has abundant intensions. Comparing with the traditional ideological and political education, it has five characteristics, including the hiding of the educational purpose and content, the reciprocity of the subject and the object of the education, the pleasure and gradualness of the educating process, the indirectness and diversity of the education approach, the internality and persistence of the education effect. China is in the special period of Chinese economic and social transformation, the uncertainty factors increased by social transformation have made our ideological and political education face many new challenges. Based on the analysis of the importance and urgency to strengthen the ideological and political education in the transitional period, author proposes to do with the jobs by strengthening the construction of campus culture, taking the initiative to occupy the ideological and political education of the new positions, carrying out various forms of ideological and political education activities, targeting the solutions of practical problems of college students. It can enable the students to have an idea about the importance and necessity to improve their qualities through these activities.
  3.2. Improve teacher’s team quality level and cultivate students’ scientific and cultural qualities
  Enrich the cultural events and theme activities to promote students" ideological and political work in the community: the establishment of demonstration mission next year to carry out in the community and cultural festival activities to enrich the cultural life of students in the community through a variety of activities will the students together the same time, combining the characteristics of the community to carry out a series of activities and several security farewell graduates Festival and other activities to make communities safe and smooth school graduates are guaranteed. Recognition of the advanced, to promote the role of party members and students to further enhance the demonstration: demonstration mission based on statute, demonstration of group members every two years of advanced individual and collective appraisal, the school party issued a document to be recognition by honorary certificates and prizes in the form of reward for outstanding students. Graduate education to become an ideological and political workers, must take the professional road, in the knowledge, ability and quality aspects such as integrated development, so as to enhance the competitiveness of their employment, the professional and better integrate its own, highlighting the personal advantage, quality employment. To improve the quality of graduate training, to enhance its building of socialist modernization and capacity of all the qualities, we must continue to strengthen the ranks of graduate instructors, to establish a good relationship between teachers and the way to achieve harmony and win-win results.
  3.3. Arrange quality education activity scientifically and strengthen student’s quality competency cultivation
  Strengthen the planning and integration of resources. The evaluation of ideological and political education for college students is an important content of ideological and political education in college. By internalizing the new theories, feeling the new practice, grasping the new characteristics, utilizing the new technologies, deriving the fresh knowledge, constructing the new systems and forming the new achievements, the ideological and political education of university students has experienced the extraordinary process of innovative development since the reform and opening up. Sticking to the viewpoint of scientific development, strengthening and improving college student’s ideological and political education, we should show the new depth of thought and achieve the new effect on college students’ ideological and political education. Keep on enhancing the attraction of the network. Strengthening and improving the work of college students ideological and political education is the strategic project that has a close connection with the fortune of our country and the destiny of our nation. It is difficult for the current ideological and political education for college students to make substantial progress as a result of many problems and severe challenges lying ahead of it, which has negative effect on implementing general and specific policies concerning the enhancement and improvement of ideological and political education for college students.
