　　Jennifer的同事Kate，原是Action总公司的会计主任，杰出，公司将她调往台中分公司，担任中南部的会计部经理。在她南下就任之前，公司同仁为她举办了欢送会，由Jennifer代表致辞。

　　Thank you for taking a moment to join us today. As you know, Kate is taking off next week for our Taichung branch office. She has been promoted to regional Accounting Manager for Action's central and southern regions.
　　Kate has worked hard in our accounting department for three years now, and I'd just like to say that I've heard nothing but good things about her performance! Actually, the employee grapevine says she's a real slavedriver.
　　Seriously, though, it comes as no surprise to me that you are moving up the Action corporate ladder. Everyone knows you are a hard worker. Accounting isn't going to be the same without you.
　　Kate, we'd all just like to say congratulations. Please let us know how you're doing, and the best of luck!

take off (for…) 离开（前往…）
为俚语用法，意同"leave"。这词组还有‘脱下’、‘起飞’等意思。

move up the corporate ladder 升官；升迁

通常欢送离职或调职的同仁时，皆不免提及此人在公司服务的年资。注意，应使用现在式，表示某人迄今工作多久。表达‘有一段’的介系词要用"for"。

●　 赞美主角
1. Accounting isn't going to be the same without you.
2. Everyone here will certainly miss your hard work and enthusiasm.
3. I know everyone in accounting is going to miss your leadership.
本文段赞美对方的话，而关键则是要表示其它同事亦有同感；并以轻松、非正式的口吻，强调对方的。

1. Please let us know how you're doing, and best of luck!
2. Best wishes and don't forget to write.
3. Keep in touch, and good luck with everything.
结尾别忘了表达祝福与关怀。可用"keep in touch"与 don't forget to write"表示希望对方‘联络’。，"good luck"、"best wishes"和"best of luck"祝福的惯用语。

　　结构分析

　　在非正式的欢送会上致词，语气应该轻松而诚恳。当然，致词的内容应在你的‘来宾’('guest of honor')身上发展。不过，要注意被欢送主角的心中感受，千万说些太令人伤感的话。

叙述将调职同事的年资及其对公司的。
