Oh my god! I only have five more minutes to write this article! How can I ever finish it on time? My boss will be so angry at me!
I know I could have written it yesterday, but, you know, it was cloudy yesterday, and I don’t like to write when it’s cloudy. This morning, it was so beautiful that I just had to go for a walk! Then, right when I was sitting down to start writing, I saw this book that I’d been meaning to read, and the deadline was still two hours away, so…
Oh, no! Now only four minutes left! I could lose my job!
Oh, I always wait until the last minute to do my work. It’s a serious problem! I could use some help. Fortunately, this month’s articles might have some useful information…but I only have three minutes left to write about them!
If you’re like me and you always procrastinate, then you might be happy to know that we’re not alone. Some really successful people―even some presidents!―have been serious procrastinators. Read more about that in Prominent Procrastinators.
  Yikes! Two more minutes!
But if that’s not enough for you, and you want to understand why we procrastinate in the first place, check out Escape Artists. It’ll give you an idea of the ancient origins of procrastination. To get a better picture, follow that up with A Historical View of Procrastination and see what a big problem procrastination has been for people all through history.
OMG! Only one minute to go!
It’s time for me to finish this article and it’s time for you to finish your procrastination, too! Conquering Procrastination can tell you how. Oh, if only I’d read that article yesterday!
That’s it! I finished! I’m so happy! I still have 30 seconds to send this to my boss and get started on my next project. But, then again, maybe I can just do that project tomorrow…
