《小学阶段学习英语的目标和方法》
一、小学阶段应该达到的英语状态
7-12岁是学好英语的黄金阶段。这个阶段孩子应该达到这样的水平：
（1）保持对英语浓厚的兴趣；
（2）身边的事物，大多数能用正确的英文表达；
（3）孩子能够开口讲流利、地道的英语，能够和外国人交流对话；
（4）能够阅读简版的英语图书，能够应用英语作一门工具，学习西方文化、历史、管理等知识，具备英文思维；
（5）养成良好的学习习惯，能够自学，持续提高。
如果达不到这样的标准，肯定是方法上存在问题。
英语是一门语言，像我们汉语一样，方法得当的话，花两年的时间，就能够开口讲，能听懂。入门之后会通过阅读，从英文书籍、报刊、电视、电影上，不断学习和丰富新的资讯，西方的文化等。如果只是停留在“随便学学”的层面上，入门阶段就得学习5、6年，就失去了学习英语的真正意义。
二、父母需要了解的教育方法（理念）
1、英语学习必须重视发音。发音不过关，学习英语的一切努力，都是白费的。孩子如果在这个阶段，形成了发音的不良习惯，以后就非常难纠正，所以家长必须不惜一切代价，帮助孩子做到发音纯正。
2、词汇量太少是无法表达的。在1到2年的时间，尽快丰富孩子的词汇表达，身边的事物，大部分都能用英语讲出来，词汇量在2000个以上。
3、小学英语学习，必须重视听力，而且必须讲究有效的方法。坚持听力训练，在缺乏英文语言环境的国内，这是最有必要而最简单的方法。
4、孩子在小学阶段学习英语，接受能力和理解方式，与大人的思维是完全不同的。必须区别对待。借助实物、图片、动画片，让孩子学习各种各样的情景对话，而且达到一个数量级。
5、教孩子学会用句子表达，不论是增加词汇，还是训练对话，最好是用完整的话去讲出去，父母在于引导。
6、采用听、讲故事的方法，不论是听力，或者是情景对话，还是阅读，都贯穿这个原则，孩子对故事是百听不厌的。
三、不同阶段使用的方法和教材
