(A)

The problem with much mobile technology is that it’s not really designed to be used while you’re actually mobile. The human brain can only pay attention to about three things at a time – and concentrate effectively on just one of them. Even though the consequences of smart phone distraction(注意力分散)are sometimes (25) _____ (amuse), they can also be serious.

The number of children (26) _____ (admit) to hospitals after accidents in public playgrounds

(27) _____ (climb) by about a third in five years, according to NHS data. Experts in both Britain and the US, (28) _____ a similar rise has occurred suggest some of the increase may be a result of parents being too distracted by their phones (29) _____ (take) care of their children properly.

And now comes evidence showing that 11-year-old children are three times more likely to be hurt or seriously injured on the way to and from school than 10-year-olds, since 11 is the average age at which children receive their first mobile phone, six times more likely (30) _____ (send) a text when it happens.

(31) _____ quarter of children surveyed admitted that they had been distracted by personal technology while crossing the road. “There is,” the report concluded, “a clear connection (32) _____ the use of technology and the time of serious accidents with children.” (B)

Self care is necessary for our physical and mental health, yet often it’s the first thing we drop when we find ourselves (33) _____ (stretch) for time. While we’re on the subject of time, let’s talk about priorities. When we feel like we don’t have time to do something important, it is (34) _____ because we’re not making time or because our priorities are not what we actually need. Everything we do with our time is a choice. It (35) _____ feel like we “have to” do certain things, but, in reality, we have complete control over (36) _____ we spend our time.

(37) _____ _____ _____ busy you are, you can fit self care into your schedule. Whether this means making it the first thing you do each morning, giving up TV or Facebook time, saying “no” to certain commitments, or potentially displeasing (38) _____, you can fit self care into your weekly routine (39) _____ _____ _____ you prioritize(优先考虑).

Self care doesn’t have to involve a lot of money, nor does it require a lot of time. If you

(40)_____ (struggle) to fit self care into your routine, start small, prioritize, and listen to your heart.

1.在日常语法教学中,教师需要在学到单个语法项目的时候,要尽量打牢坚实的基础,使学生能够熟练掌握该语法项目的本质特征,能够在和其他易混淆的句型比较中区分出来;

2.在日常课文讲解中,教师完全可以利用课本的课文需要精读,找出课本里面几个经典的语法项目点,然后把课文挖去几个空,训练语法新题型的做法,起到一举多得的作用;

Some people are right-handed and some are left-handed. No one knows the reason a person becomes right-handed or left-handed. It is not true that it is caused by the way his parents educate him. In other words , a person is born to be right-handed or left-handed. Moreover, the left-handed and the right-handed think differently. Having to use the hand you’re not used to can be very (upset).

One day I tried an experiment: changing hands while eating rice with chopsticks. Being right-hander, I hoped it would not be too hard for me to take the food with my left hand. Soon after I started, I realized I didn’t know I was doing. So I moved in front of a big mirror. Looking at in the mirror, I found I looked like a man who had never used chopsticks before. I grew more and more nervous and finally I had to give it up .

(force) to use the hand one is not used to affects a person’s mind. So we should not try to change a left-hander to a right-hander. Some people still think being left-handed is bad, luckily this idea is changing.

In recent years many countries of the world ___25__(face)with the problem of how to make their workers more productive. Some experts claim the answer is to make jobs more varied. But

do more varied jobs lead to 26___(great) productivity? There is evidence to suggest that while variety certainly makes the workers' life more enjoyable, it does not actually make him work harder.

As far as increasing productivity is concerned, the variety is not an important factor.

Other experts feel that __27.(give) the worker freedom to do his job in his own way is important and there is no doubt that this is true. The problem is __28_. this kind of freedom cannot easily be given in the modern factory with its complicated machinery which must be used in a fixed way. Thus while freedom of choice may be important, there is usually very little that can be done to create it. Another important consideration is how much each worker contributes to the product he is making. In most factories the worker sees only one small part of the product. Some car factories are now experimenting with having many small production lines __29_ large one, so that each worker contributes more to the production of the cars on his line. It would seem that 30_____ is the degree of workers' contribution an important factor, therefore, but it is also one we can do something about.

To 31____ extent does more money lead to greater productivity? The workers themselves certainly think this is important. But perhaps they want more money only because the work they do is so boring. Money just lets them enjoy their spare time more. A similar argument may explain demands for shorter working hours. Perhaps if we succeed in making their jobs more interesting, they will neither want more money, _32__ will shorter working hours be so important to them.
