1. Once upon a time therewas a boy called Jack. He livedwith his mother. They werevery poor. All they had was aCOW.从前有个叫杰克的小男孩，他和妈妈住在一起，他们家非常穷，唯一值钱的只有一头牛。

Jack"smother told Jack to take theircow to market and sell her.One the way, Jack met a man.He gave Jack some magicbeans for the cow.一天上午，妈妈叫杰克去市场上把牛卖了。路上，杰克碰到一个老人，老人给了杰克一些魔法豆和他交换牛。
3. Jack took the beans andwent back home. When Jack"smother saw the beans she wasvery angry. She threw thebeans out of the window.杰克拿着这些魔法豆回家了，妈妈看到杰克拿牛换回些豆子非常生气，她把豆子扔到了窗外。
4. The next morning, Jacklooked
out of the window.There was a giant beanstalk.He went outside and started toclimb the beanstalk.第二天早晨，杰克从窗口望出去，看到一棵巨大的魔豆树，他来到外面开始爬魔豆树。
5. He climbed up to thesky through the clouds. Jacksaw a beautiful castle. He wentinside.他穿过云层一直到了树顶，看到一座漂亮的城堡，杰克径直走了进去。
6. Jack heard a voice.“Fee,Fi, Fo, Fum!” Jack ran into acupboard.他听到一个声音，于是躲到了一个柜子里。
7. An enormous giantcame into the room and satdown. On the table there was ahen and a golden harp.一个超大巨人来到房间坐了下来，桌面上有一只母鸡和一把金琴。
8. “Lay!” said the giant. Thehen laid an egg-it was made ofgold. “Sing!”said the giant. Theharp began to sing. Soon thegiant was asleep.“下蛋!”巨人说，于是母鸡就下了一个金蛋。“唱歌!”巨人说，这把竖琴开始演奏，不久巨人就睡着了。
9. Jack jumped out of thecupboard. He took the hen andthe harp. Suddenly, the harpsang, “Help, master!”杰克从柜子里面跳出来，他手里拿着母鸡和竖琴。突然，琴声响了：“救命，主人!”
10. The giant woke up, andshouted, “Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum!”Jack ran and started climbingdown the beanstalk. The giantcame down after him.巨人醒了，大声喊叫。杰克拔腿就跑，顺着那棵魔豆树爬了下来，巨人已经紧紧地跟上来了。
11. Jack shouted, “Mother!Help!” Jack’s mother took anaxe and chopped down thebeanstalk. The giant fell andcrashed to the ground. Nobodyever saw him again.杰克大声呼喊：“妈妈，救命!”妈妈拿了一把斧头把魔豆树砍倒了，巨人摔了下来，消失在地面上，没有人再见过他。
12. With the golden eggsand the magic harp, Jack andhis mother lived happily everafter.有了这只会下金蛋的母鸡和会演奏的魔法琴，杰克和妈妈过上了幸福的生活。
